La Perle de Domme is located in the so-called Golden Triangle, essentially a group of seven neighboring medieval villages in the Périgord Noir, located just south of Sarlat: Domme, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Cénac-et-Saint Julien, La Roque-Gageac, Vézac and Vitrac. Domme is less than 1 km from La Perle, with Beynac being the furthest at 12 km away.

The Dordogne river itself, and the many kayak excursions it offers, can be accessed around La Perle, with Chateau de Montfort, Chateau de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle and Chateau de Lacoste a literal stone’s throw away. The magnificent gardens at Marqueyssac are also within the aforesaid Golden Triangle, whilst the gardens of Eyrignac Manor is no more than 25 km from the hotel.

The world-famous Lascaux caves, a world heritage site housing an expansive cave network known for its large quantity of elaborate prehistoric (Paleolithic) cave art, plus a museum, is located some 40 km away in Montignac, whereas many other cave networks can be accessed in the area immediately surrounding the hotel.
